Visit a hidden mountain village named Oda, located at the east side of Uchiko Town, and have a natural dye experience at 100 old Japanese style house.
In Oda, chestnuts are produced from a long time ago.
An English speaking local guide takes you to a short walk to show you around the village includes to see some chestnuts trees.
The chestnut burrs dye experience will be held at a traditional houses nearly 100 years old.
A local vegetable dying group named "Someya Tetoha" will teach you how to dye with chestnuts burrs. You can leave some marks to make it more original to you. Enjoy communicating with locals.
