Kite making

Ikazaki district of Uchiko town is known as a place that holds the Ikazaki kite festival.

Ikazaki kites are made with Japanese paper and bamboo, and hand-painted original Japanese letters. These letters are very thick and not painted, and the rest is painted in colors. It's a way to save paint.

You can make your own Ikazaki kite and fly them at river side nearby.
