On April 25, 2026, a new stop for visitors, MORITEI (Former Mori Residence), opened in Uchiko, featuring a satellite shop of the popular roadside station “Karari.”

Inside, you’ll find a wide selection of original Karari products, along with locally made foods and crafts from Uchiko—perfect for souvenirs. Visitors can also enjoy gelato, sweets, Uchiko pork hamburgers, and a variety of drinks, making it an ideal spot not only for shopping but also for a relaxing break during a stroll around town.

Conveniently located along Honmachi Shopping Street, roughly halfway between Uchiko-za Theatre and the Yokaichi & Gokoku Preservation District, it is also just a short walk from the Uchiko Visitor Center.
