"18th Kanzaburo Nakamura's 13th Anniversary Memorial Day - Kankuro Nakamura, Shichinosuke Nakamura, Shungyo Kabuki Special Performance 2024" will be held at Uchiko-za Theatre.

This is the first performance by Kankuro Nakamura and Shichinosuke Nakamura at Uchiko-za since 2017. Please come by all means.

Please note that on the day of the event, please use public transportation as much as possible. (10 minutes walk from JR Uchiko Station)

This work incorporates the well-known encounter between Ushiwakamaru and Benkei at Gojo Bridge and the story of Tokiwa Gozen and Ushiwakamaru's father and son, and is a dance drama created for Kanzaburo the 17th generation.

The work, which became a hot topic when it premiered as a collaboration between father and son Kanzaburo the 17th and Kanzaburo the 5th (Kanzaburo the 18th), is now revived with the co-starring of the current Kanzaburo, Shichinosuke, and Tsurumatsu.
