Once known as Tado Village, this quiet mountain community has a long and layered history—shaped by changing times, yet deeply rooted in tradition.
Along the old pilgrimage routes, from Tsukiai to Shimosakaba Pass, travelers have long passed through this landscape. Today, it offers breathtaking nature in every season: cherry blossoms and fresh mountain greens in spring, fireflies and the shimmering Tado River in summer, harvests of chestnuts and rice fields in autumn, and snow-dusted scenery in winter beneath star-filled skies.
Tado Village is a place shaped by generations who have lived in harmony with the mountains.
Now reborn as Tado Village, a community-run accommodation renovated from the former Tadori Kindergarten, it welcomes a wide range of visitors—from pilgrims and cyclists to returning locals, as well as those seeking a unique space for work, gatherings, or quiet retreat.
