A mountain village stay rich in local history and atmosphere

This accommodation is set in a historic building that once served as the Ōse Village Office until 1955. Originally constructed in the mid-Meiji period (1868–1912), it has since been carefully renovated through local community efforts and reopened as a space for regional revitalization and community exchange.

Located in the mountain village of Ōse, the area is also known as the hometown of Nobel Prize–winning author Kenzaburō Ōe. Guests can experience the landscapes and atmosphere that shaped his early life.

The second floor of the building has been converted into simple lodging, offering a quiet and authentic stay. Operated by local volunteers, the facility provides a welcoming place to connect with the community and experience the unique character of Ōse.
