The Takahashi Residence offers a relaxed stay in a fully private, one-group-per-booking setting. Accommodation is provided in a two-story annex, allowing guests to enjoy the space at their own pace.
Visitors are welcomed by a calligraphy sign bearing the phrase, “If you come to appreciate the beauty of nature, you are welcome even without invitation.” This reflects the spirit of the residence, which has long been a place for open exchange and appreciation of culture.
Once the home of Takahashi Yoshihira and Takahashi Ryutaro—known as the “beer king” and a key figure in Japan’s beer industry—the property has been carefully restored and reborn as a cultural exchange villa. Today, it serves both as a guesthouse and as a space for cultural activities.
Blending history, culture, and a quiet atmosphere, the Takahashi Residence offers a unique place to stay and experience a different side of Uchiko.
