The Sacred Fire Festival of Teramura is lit with about 5,000 lights called "Ohikari" and the fire letters of "Yamanokami"(a god of mountain) that appear fantastically under Rokkaku Mountain. It is a traditional event that has continued since the 6th year of Bunsei (1823), and contains the desire to pray for the good fortune of the mountains and a good harvest in autumn. The fireworks that roar in the mountain village beautifully color the night sky and make summer memories. The shopping street is lined with many night shops, and it is crowded with Kikori drums and live music.
