A Landscape Painted by the Seasons

Nestled within a protected national forest at elevations ranging from 750 to 1,560 meters, Odamiyama Valley is one of Uchiko's most spectacular natural treasures. Stretching for approximately 10 kilometers, the valley offers stunning scenery year-round, from the fresh greenery of spring to the vibrant colors of autumn.

A scenic 1.5-kilometer walking trail winds through the valley, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a landscape shaped by crystal-clear streams, dramatic rock formations, and diverse broadleaf forests. In spring and early summer, hikers can enjoy seasonal wildflowers, including native azaleas and wisteria blossoms, while the lush greenery creates the perfect setting for a relaxing forest walk.

Autumn transforms the valley into a masterpiece of color. More than 20 varieties of maple trees paint the mountainsides in brilliant shades of red, gold, amber, and orange, creating one of the region's most celebrated fall foliage displays. The gentle sound of the stream and the crunch of fallen leaves underfoot make every stroll a memorable experience. Allow plenty of time to explore, take photographs, and appreciate the ever-changing scenery.

Whether blanketed in fresh spring growth, vibrant autumn leaves, or the deep greens of summer, Odamiyama Valley offers a peaceful escape into some of Shikoku's most beautiful natural landscapes.
