Join us for the German Festa 2026, a lively celebration commemorating the sister city friendship between Uchiko Town and Rothenburg, Germany!

Enjoy authentic German beer, delicious German cuisine, and a festive atmosphere filled with music, culture, and entertainment. Eat, drink, sing, and raise your glass with a cheerful “Prost!” as we celebrate together.

This year’s festival marks two special milestones: the 15th anniversary of the sister city partnership and the 10th edition of the event.

Visitors can enjoy live performances throughout the day by a variety of talented groups, including:

• German band "Musikanten am See"
• Wind Ensemble "Kites"
• Uchiko High School Brass Band (featuring an alphorn performance)
• Uchiko International Exchange Association
• Folk Dance Group "Mammy’s" (joining for the first time this year!)

Come experience a taste of Germany in the heart of Uchiko and celebrate international friendship through food, music, and culture!

• No advance or same-day tickets will be available this year
• Cash only (some vendors may accept cashless payment)
• Beer will only be served in special festival mugs available for purchase at the venue for ¥300 (tax included)
• If you already own a festival mug from 2019 or later, you can also use it
• The event will proceed in rainy weather at the same venue
• In the event of severe weather, the festival will be canceled
• Cancellation notices will be posted on the Uchiko Town official website and other official channels
